Jesus take the wheel

So we all know of Carrie Underewood? well for those of you who don't know she is a country singer/ songwritter who rose to fame on the fourth season of american idol. Okay now that we have covered. We all know of this awesome guy named Jesus? yeah He is amazing and died for YOU. yeah crazy. so last night i went to a carrie underwood concert where she sang this song called Jesus take the wheel.

"She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy with the baby in the backseat
Fifty miles to go and she was running low on faith and gasoline
It'd been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attentions
he was going way too fast
Before she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was sooo scared She threw her hands up in the air
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on Jesus take the wheel
It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat sleeping like a rock
And for the first time in a long time
She bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the wayI've been living my lifeI know I've got to change
So from now on tonight Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting goSo give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
Ooh, Jesus take the wheel Ooh,
I'm letting go So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on From this road
I'm onJesus take the wheel
Ooh, take it, take it from me"
yeah so those are the lyrics. just reading them gets you thinking. But when you have someone with a strong relationship with Christ singing lyrics like this you can't help but open you're heart for God. The other day i read a friends post about worshiping and raising your hands to the Lord. I did it. I sang those lyrics and praised Him for all He does for me. Then i looked up and saw hundreds of people doing the same and singing and worshiping. It was incredible. But some may say its just a top hit and she isn't a Christian singer that wasn't worship. For anyone that may think that way, let me tell you. look at those lyrics. no, i mean really look. Hello she is not talking about a car when she says Jesus take the wheel, she is talking about her life! wow i can't even describe the song more cause it can't get clearer than the message we have to give our lives to Christ. Amen. :) and stupid me left my camera in the car so i couldn't take pictures! gah. oh well. i'll be hitting up more concerts soon for sure!
